Rewarded Review

We really like this tea! I bought it because we were looking for a good tea and rose blend. The label attracted me and I saw how they have an inner lid below the top cap to keep the tea fresh. The best Rose Tea we had found before this was Benner English Rose (Sold at Aldi's). Although the Benner brand is good, this tea is much better than the Benner Brand. It takes about 1 tsp per 8 oz cup of water. Here's my brewing method: We have a water cooler with a hot water tap. I fill my cup with tap water and microwave it for 60-90 seconds. I give it about 30 seconds to warm the cup and pour the tap water out. Next I add 1 tsp of of Rose Pedal Black Tea to the cup and fill the cup with hot water from the water cooler "Hot Water Tap." I let it steep for 4 minutes and then strain it into another tea cup. This makes a great cup of tea! That same tea can be used to brew a second cup that will also be a great cup of tea. I tried making a third cup with the tea, but what I mainly tasted at that point was the Rose Pedals. I will admit that third cup was still good, but I wanted the tea flavor as well. This information should let you know, there is plenty of Rose Flavor in this tea. I no longer use "Tea Balls." The tea can not expand and infusion does not take place as well when the tea is confined. The best tea made is when the tea is free in the water and the water is run through a strainer after steeping is complete. Metal Tea Balls also work as a heat sink and lower the temperature of the water. When looking for a tea infuser, look for one that allows the tea to expand during steeping. Tea Balls are, however, good in a pinch. The label suggests the Roses used in the blend are from Qimen County in China, the same place Keemun Tea is from. It also suggests that the black tea use is Keemun. These things are suggested, but not directly said. Had I known this tea was blended and sold out of Portland, I would have never tried it. I can't tell you if the ingredients are what the label "Suggests" nor am I going to cheer for Portland, Oregon, but this is really good tea! We are really impressed with this tea and we will purchase it again!
