Please note that vitamin B12 in a well-digestible form can be deposited in the liver during course administration. But folic acid is in its usual form. If you have disorders of the folate cycle (the MTHFR gene is broken, elevated homocysteine, etc.), then it is the active form (methylfolate) that is needed. You can make yourself worse by taking regular folic acid. It is better then separately. And they dissolve under the tongue really quickly, they taste sweet due to the addition of lactose.

Years ago, my Naturopath explained that the combination of methylcobalamin (1,00mcg) and folic acid (400mcg) would keep my blood count balanced, a challenge I had for several years (of being anemic). She also explained that cyanocobalamin (B12 that is NOT effective in the human body) should never take the place of methylcobalamin. The ratio of the 2 nutrients is also critical... 1,000mcg B12 to 400mcg Folic Acid.... for maximum effectiveness. I’ve taken it for 10 years, almost every day, first thing in the morning under my tongue. Every year I have full lab & blood work-up, and my readings across the board are amazing for a 67 year old. The doctors wish they were as healthy as me.
