This bamboo whisk is perfect for practicing the ancient art of the Japanese tea ceremony. The Japanese tea ceremony (chado, or sado, or chanoyu - "the way of tea") is a traditional ritual in which powdered green tea, or matcha, is ceremonially prepared and served to a small group of guests.
This whisk is split from one piece of bamboo into 129 tulip shaped prongs. More prongs mean a more frothy tea. Use it to whisk matcha tea in a tea bowl for a perfect cup of tea.

Step 1: Pour warm water into the bowl to prepare it.

Step 3: Add warm water to the bowl.
Step 4: Using the whisk, briskly mix the Matcha powder and water together until the tea becomes lightly frothy.
Step 5: Remove the whisk and hold the bowl with both hands. Turn the bowl counter-clock wise twice before serving.
